**This is my first TUC fanfic...so be bloodthirsty, merciless, and as cruel as possible. I hope you like it….But please, constructive crit if you can.**

**Disclaimer: I do not own the Underland Chronicles. If I did, I wouldn't need to take 5 different times to try and post this the right way….**

**This was beta'd by the incredible Dem! So go give her a cookie if you like this! If you don't…give her an irritable panda bear. They're nice too.**

**So, here's….**

**Dah….**

**Prologue….**

4 years after the Code of Claw, in the Jungle...

Henry trudged along, through the jungle. The extreme heat and humidity seemingly having no affect on him. He couldn't believe everything that had happened. It was in fact quite unbelievable. The only reason he even believed it himself was because he had lived through it. Not willingly, or for that matter happily. And even then, it was still a bit foggy in parts. He tripped absent mindedly on a root, lost in the memories that had sunken into deep into his mind, occupying his thoughts on quiet nights, and giving him strength from anger and regret on others. It all started after he leaped. And unfortunately for him, he hadn't been very careful of what he jumped off of back when he believed that Ares would have saved him. So now, he knew from personal experience that jumping into pits of "immeasurable depth" wasn't a very good idea. Especially when you didn't confide in your bond with such secrets as planning 'world domination' and things. But that was in the past now. Or was it? Did they still blame? Probably. As Henry trudged along in the exotic arid place, careful to watch the treacherous vines and roots that stumbled over his path, his memories of everything that had happened to him, these past 5 years came flooding back in his mind as he recalled exactly what had taken place, after he fell, so very long ago…
